Emily Robinson, 15, is a ninth grader from Nenana, Alaska. As a second generation musher, Emily started running sled dogs at the age of 3. She has many memories of time on the trails racing, working the trapline, and using them during the hunting season. She always knew that one day she wanted to race with them, and at the age of 10 she started on the competitive journey. Emily has competed in many races over the years. She won the 2022 Jr. Iditarod by only 6 seconds! Other races from the recent years include Jr. Willow 100 (6th place in 2021 and 2nd place in 2022), Alpine Creek Excursion (6th place in 2021), and Minto Spring Carnival (6th place in 2022). When not running dogs, Emily enjoys cooking, swimming, and music. She has always had a connection with her family's sled dogs, and it is her hope to run sled dogs for as long as she can!
