Hannah Wappett, 17, is a twelfth grader from Fairbanks, Alaska. While she has always been fascinated by mushing, it wasn't until 2011 when she got her first chance and she was hooked! What better way to combine her love of animals and the outdoors. In recent years, she has raced all over Alaska to include Willow Jr. 100 (2019 - 3rd, 2020 - 1st, 2021 - 5th, 2023 - 2nd), Jr. Iditarod (2021 - 4th, 2022 - 2nd), Yukon Quest 80 (2023 - 2nd), and Solstice 50 (2022 - 1st in junior class). When not helping with the family sled dogs, Hannah enjoys playing soccer, tennis, and badminton. With this being her last year of junior mushing and also high school, she feels that mushing is still in her future as is further education to become a vet or a hair stylist.
