Addy Pederson, 14, is a ninth grader from Homer, Alaska. Her family has been running sled dogs recreationally all her life. When she turned 12-years-old, she took over the kennel and started acquiring some race dogs. After a few years of building and training, this will be her first year getting to race. In addition to sled dogs, Addy also has a labrador which she enjoys training. To help afford her team, she participates in 4H raising and selling turkeys. In addition to this, Addy enjoys hiking, biking, and hunting. While not quite sure what the future holds after high school, she does know that she wants to continue mushing.
